Privacy Policy

How your data is handled.

Last updated: September 2026.

Who I Am

Social Syllabus is a solo social media management and content creation business based in Newcastle. For the purpose of data protection law, I am the data controller for the personal data collected through this site.

What I Collect

When you use the contact or enquiry forms, or request the free content calendar, I collect your name and email address, plus anything you choose to share in your message. I never collect payment card details through this site — any invoices are handled separately.

How I Use It

I use your details to respond to your enquiry, set up a discovery call, deliver the free content calendar you requested, and — if we work together — to manage your content and communication. I only use your data for the reason you gave it to me.

Legal Basis

I process your data on the basis of your consent (when you submit a form), and on legitimate interest (to respond to enquiries and deliver the services you ask about). If you choose to work with me, processing is necessary to perform our agreement.

Third Parties

Forms on this site are processed by Formspree, and calendar emails are sent via Zoho Mail. These providers store your data on secure servers under their own data protection obligations. I don't sell, rent, or share your data with anyone else.

Cookies

This site does not use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies. If third-party embeds (such as a scheduling calendar) are added later, their cookie use will be covered by their own policies and this notice will be updated.

Your Rights

You can ask me to see the data I hold about you, correct it, or delete it at any time. You can also withdraw consent or ask me to stop using your data. To do any of this, just email codie@socialsyllabus.co.uk and I'll action it promptly.

Data Retention

I keep enquiry data only as long as needed to respond to you and, if relevant, to provide services under our agreement. Enquiry details that don't lead to work are deleted after a reasonable period.
