I understand your world.
I'm Codie — a Newcastle based social media manager and content creator, but before Social Syllabus, I was very much a hair girly.
I started out in the hair extension industry and grew up working in and around salons. I spent years seeing what really goes on behind the scenes — the busy Saturdays, back to back clients, coffee fuelled days, client chats and of course all those amazing transformations.
It taught me so much about the beauty industry and the people in it. I know how much goes into running a salon or beauty business because I've been there.
Funny enough, I never actually planned on starting a social media business.
I started doing content shoots for my own page, taking photos, creating reels and figuring out what made my content look good. Then people started asking me to help them do theirs… and one thing led to another.
Before I knew it, I was shooting content for other businesses, managing their socials and completely falling into something I absolutely loved.
And Social Syllabus was born.
